As featured in Build-It magazine, Forrest Drive stands as one of BAUEN Design's initial self-build projects for a developer client embarking on their unique and personalised venture. Our role commenced with identifying an appropriate plot slated for development and guiding our client through the intricate phases of planning, building regulations compliance, and internal layout optimisations, with a focus on integrating sustainable technologies for future-proofing.

The project boasts a contemporary and spacious floor plan, coupled with remarkable eco-credentials achieved through a timber-framed solution, rigid PIR insulation, a ground-source heat pump, solar panels, and a sedum roof. The property's design includes an open-plan living area that enables comprehensive passive monitoring, catering to various age groups as the dwelling serves as a foster care dwelling.

The end result is an impressive detached five-bedroom dwelling, inclusive of a detached garage/annex that accommodates an additional double bedroom and office space, reflecting a meticulous blend of modern design and sustainable living practices.
