BAUEN Design undertook a comprehensive project to replace a derelict 1960s bungalow on a rural plot in Market Drayton, offering a full package of works for the replacement dwelling.

 

After an extensive survey, it became apparent that the existing dwelling couldn't feasibly meet the minimum space, accessibility, and modern construction standards required for contemporary residential design.

The proposed design aimed to enhance the functionality of a bustling family home while incorporating a replacement garage tailored for the new owner's vintage race car collection.  The final design represents a modern interpretation of the previous dwelling, featuring an open-plan kitchen/dining area and separate living space.

 

This layout offers expansive views over the countryside through a large set of bi-fold doors, all while preserving a traditional ambience.
