BAUEN Design was tasked with modernising, updating, and extending an existing bungalow in Potash, providing a contemporary living space for a growing household.

Securing both planning and building regulations approval, BAUEN Design successfully converted the existing bungalow into a two-story dwelling. This included a spacious single-story extension to the rear, enhancing the property's layout.

The heart of the transformed bungalow features an open-plan kitchen-dining area complemented by breakout rooms for utility services, a playroom, a study, and a spacious living room. Optimising the extension involved the strategic removal of internal walls on the ground floor. The new first floor encompasses four generously sized bedrooms, including an ensuite and family bathroom. Natural light is facilitated through a single large roof light, illuminating the stairwell.

To ensure seamless project management and adherence to the budget, the client opted for a comprehensive package of services. This included the initial survey, pre-planning and full planning applications, building regulations, and a tender pack, facilitating a smooth and cost-effective project execution.
