BAUEN Design recently completed the on-site stage of works of a single-story holiday home situated within our client's Grade II listed property. This comprehensive project involved initial consultations, pre-planning and full planning applications, development of building regulations and tender packages, and successful on-site implementation. Throughout the design process, we employed a combination of hand sketches, technical drawings, and 3D visualisations.

The project aimed to create a design that seamlessly integrates into the client's property, providing a low-maintenance residence ideal for holiday use. Our proposal featured elevations finished in sleek black timber cladding complemented by low-level ornate brick plinths across all sides, along with strategically placed roof lights that invite abundant natural light into the interior.

Key highlights of the completed project include expansive vaulted ceilings that encompass an inviting open-plan kitchen/diner, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and an outdoor dining area boasting stunning panoramic views of the picturesque Holbrook countryside.
