Lavender Cottage

BAUEN Design was tasked with designing multiple extensions and extensive internal remodelling for a client's property in Melton Mowbray. We were approached by a visionary client, and through our expertise, we elevated their vision to bring their dream family home to life.

The original dwelling boasts stonework construction, a pitched slate roof, characterful window details, and external ironmongery. However, several poorly conceived additions over the years included a single-storey brick extension on the North gable, a two-story brick extension with a flat roof on the East-facing elevation, and a south-facing timber-clad conservatory.

Our design solution encompassed a complete internal remodel, featuring a substantial two-story replacement side extension, along with two minor extensions, including a contemporary glazed box dining room.

The client opted for a comprehensive package, including pre-planning and full planning applications, building regulations, on-site works, tender, and interior design. The project is set for completion in December 2023.
