BAUEN Design collaborated closely with our client for the restoration of a severely dilapidated garage, restoring it from a near-condemned state. The initial objective was to optimise internal living space by refurbishing the ground floor while introducing a new first floor to provide accommodation for an elderly relative.

The project encompassed an initial site assessment, pre-planning and full planning application phases, along with building regulations packages. To aid the design process, a comprehensive measured survey was conducted, supplemented by 3D modelling and photorealistic visualisations.

BAUEN Design proposed an open-plan living area on the ground floor, while the first floor comprised an open-plan sleeping area featuring vaulted ceilings. Preserving existing window openings at the front and rear allows natural light to enter the property from both directions. The incorporation of an interior design package ensured an open and spacious ambience, enhancing the overall user experience.
